The generator accepts .CSV (comma-separated values), .XLSX (Excel 2007+), and .XLS (Excel 97–2004). You can also export from Google Sheets as CSV and upload directly. All three formats are processed identically. Files up to 10MB are supported on paid plans; the Free plan supports files up to 5MB.

Your file must have a header row with at least one column labeled "data". Each row below the header generates one QR code. Optional columns are: "filename" (output file name), "color" (hex value like #0057ff), and "size" (pixel value like 300). Download our free Excel template for the exact format.

The most common cause is extra whitespace or a different case. Make sure the header is exactly "data" — lowercase, no trailing spaces, no quotes. If you copied from another file, the cell may contain invisible characters. Try deleting the header cell content and retyping "data" manually.

Yes. You can have URLs in some rows, plain text in others, email addresses in others — all in the same file. Each row is encoded independently. The generator does not require consistency across rows.

Yes. Add a "color" column to your file and enter a hex color value (e.g. #0057ff, #dc2626) in each row. Each QR code uses its own row color. Rows without a color value use the global color set in the generator options.

Blank rows are automatically skipped. The generator only processes rows that have a non-empty value in the data column. You can safely leave spacer rows in your file without causing errors or gaps in the output.

The Free plan processes up to approximately 500 rows per upload. Pro supports up to 5,000 rows per batch. Business supports unlimited rows. If your file has more rows than your plan allows, only the first N rows are processed. Split larger files into multiple uploads or upgrade your plan.

All plans export PNG files. Pro and Business plans additionally support SVG (infinitely scalable vector format — ideal for large-format printing). Each QR code is a separate file inside the downloaded ZIP archive.

Files are named based on your "filename" column if you included one. Without a filename column, files are auto-numbered sequentially (qr_001.png, qr_002.png, etc.). If two rows produce the same filename, the duplicate gets "_2" appended automatically.

ZIP files are automatically deleted from our servers 1 hour after generation. This is a privacy measure — your uploaded data and generated files are not permanently stored. Download your ZIP immediately after generation and save it locally. If the link expires, simply re-upload your file and generate again.

This usually happens if the download link expired (1-hour limit) or a network interruption occurred mid-download. Try regenerating your batch — it takes only a few seconds. If the problem repeats, check that your file format is correct and try a different browser.

For digital use (websites, apps, screens): 200–300px is sufficient. For standard print (flyers, business cards, menus): 300–400px. For large-format print (posters, banners, packaging): use SVG (Pro/Business) for infinite scalability, or PNG at 500px+. The QR code quality does not depend on the size — all sizes scan equally well.

Yes. You can upgrade instantly — access is granted immediately after payment. You can downgrade at the end of your current billing period. There are no early termination fees.

Yes. Choosing annual billing gives you 2 months free — equivalent to a 17% discount. Pro annual is $90/year ($7.50/month). Business annual is $250/year ($20.83/month). You are billed once per year.

We offer a 7-day full refund on first-time Pro and Business purchases. If the tool does not meet your needs within 7 days of your first payment, contact us and we will issue a full refund — no questions asked. Subsequent billing periods are non-refundable.

You can cancel anytime from your account dashboard under Billing Settings. After cancellation, your paid plan remains active until the end of your billing period. There is no penalty for cancelling.

All uploads are processed over HTTPS. Files are used only to generate your QR codes and are deleted from temporary storage immediately after your ZIP is created. ZIPs themselves are deleted after 1 hour. Your data is never stored permanently, shared with third parties, or used for any purpose beyond generation.

The most common causes are: (1) The data column contains invalid or malformed URLs — make sure URLs start with https://. (2) The code is too small for the scanner — try a larger size. (3) The foreground color has low contrast against white — avoid light colors. (4) Error correction level is too low for the environment — use Level H for warehouse barcode scanners. All generated codes meet the ISO/IEC 18004 international standard, so scanner compatibility is guaranteed when the above conditions are met.

Level M (Medium, 15% recovery) is the default and works well for most use cases. Use Level L for clean digital screens. Level Q for product labels and packaging that may get scuffed. Level H for industrial environments where codes may be heavily worn or partially covered. Error correction control is a Pro feature.

API access is available on the Business plan. After upgrading, your API key is available in your account dashboard under API Settings. The API accepts POST requests with your data, color, size, and format parameters and returns a ZIP download URL. Full documentation is available after sign-up.

The Free plan has standard processing speed. If you are generating large batches (1,000+ codes) on the Free plan, processing may take 15–30 seconds during peak hours. Pro and Business users receive priority processing with dedicated resources. If timeouts persist, try splitting your file into smaller batches of 500–1,000 rows.
